Why do people read the random thoughts of others?

I don't know why people blog. Is it for lack of better things to do? Are we all now, because of capabilities, reporters. Certainly, in the 1700's the guy who was the media guy, was the guy who owned the printing press. So, here I am a Ben Franklin of sorts, writing my Poor Richards Diary for all the bit driven world to see. I am not sure whether anyone will read this, and I am certainly not sure why people will read this. However, here it is. A few random thoughts on the art of blogging. These random thoughts will be my first blog posting, and perhaps, you will be the first to have read them. So, welcome to my new blog, and I hope that I have entertained at least one more person than myself.
